Norwich Terrier

The Norwich Terrier is a lovable little dog, they're the smallest of the working terriers. It has a short, strong, sturdy body with strongly boned legs and a fox-like muzzle with large solid teeth. The eyes are dark and expressive and the ears are upright. The tail is docked by half. Their coats are wiry and straight and come in red, wheaten, tan, black & tan, and grizzle - occasionally with white markings. The faces sport jaunty whiskers and eyebrows.

The Norwich Terriers height is around 25 cm, and their weight should be 4 or 5 kg, bitches has almost the same sizes. The life span can usually reach 15 years which is very good I think. Norwich Terriers have waterproof coat, which is very easy to groom, so don't worry about it, they just need a daily short brush.

Norwich Terriers are active, courageous, balanced and without any nervousness. They are easy to train, and need consistent rules to follow. These little dogs love everyone and get along with children very much. He will dig and bark if left outside for long periods of time with nothing to occupy his quick mind. They love toys and balls and are generally good with other pets, but can be difficult to housebreak. Norfolk Terriers should not be let off of their lead unless secure. They are okay joggers for short distances. Do not allow this little dog to develop Small Dog Syndrom, where the dog believes he is pack leader to humans. This can cause many varying degrees of behavior problems including, but not limited to, separation anxiety, jealousy and guarding behaviors.
